The Next One

The last of my 3 challenges is running the Trans Pennine Trail from Hornsea to Southport.  I will be finalising all that planning over the next couple of months with the plan being to run it in June.  Please come back and follow me on that as well.

Videos & Photos

When my media man (dad) has sorted all his hours of footage out I will post it up here.  I will also do a full report of the run.

Foulridge tunnel no towpath im going left overland Swav what about you?
49 miles in nelson and the rain has started

Day 2 a bit nervous but here we go

Day 1 Done

43 miles done today.  A little down on what I wanted but light and tiredness have done me.  Up a touch earlier today to claw a couple of miles back.  Left myself 30 to do tomorrow so if I need to do an extra 5 then it should be ok.

Felt a bit dodgy last night but what seems like the longest sleep in the world (8 hours) I feel a lot better and whilst not raring to go am up for it.

Legs feel surprisingly good or surprisingly alright should I say.

Will keep updating as I go thanks for checking in on me.

24 Hours to go

This time tomorrow it will all be under way - I cant believe I am about to try and run 128 miles in 3 days

2 days to go

Everything sorted.  Gear is all ready, food is all sorted except for cooking some lunch for friday.  Many, many kind people have supported me which is truly amazing so thank you all so much.  Have seen a draft copy of a story that is going out in The Irish World Newspaper next week.  Thanks to David for that one, really good.  www.theirishworld.com. I know I have said it before but getting very excited now, I think it is going to be really good, really tough but really good.

Feel fit and healthy, a lot fitter than when I did the first challenge and I managed 48 miles then so I should be ok, well for the first day anyway.
